Not everyone has the same hair type, or wants the same style. So we've designed different attachments to work for different hair types and create different styles. We've created two styling sets with attachments for specific hair types, and a set with attachments for multiple users or styles.

The long barrels are specially designed for hair that's longer than chest-length. For hair that's shorter than chest-length, we recommend using the shorter 30mm Airwrap™ barrels and 40mm Airwrap™ barrels. Both the long and shorter barrels can work on long hair, but you'll get the best results if you use the recommended barrel for your hair length.

The Coanda smoothing dryer has two modes, Drying and Smoothing. The Drying mode can be used on any hair type to pre-dry hair or set finished styles. The Smoothing mode can be used to hide flyaways and works best on naturally straight or wavy hair, or straightened hair of any type.

Yes. For best results, start with freshly washed hair. All our brushes can be used on wet hair, but the barrels work best on damp hair. Use the Coanda smoothing dryer in Drying mode to get hair from wet to damp, before styling with the barrels.

The Dyson Airwrap i.d.™ multi-styler and dryer is Dyson’s first connected hair care device. It has all the styling capabilities of the original Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler and dryer, but now comes with app-connected features and brand-new attachments, for even more styles.

Connect to the MyDyson™ app to complete your hair profile, and the device intelligently creates the ideal curling sequence to wrap, style and set each curl with just the push of a button. Connecting to the app also offers you tailored styling with content that is relevant for your hair type, gives live product updates and troubleshooting notifications, and filter maintenance prompts.

Once connected to the MyDyson™ app you set up your hair profile. This contains the information required to create a personalised styling sequence (i.d. curl™) with the ideal timings to wrap, curl and set your hair. Once the power button is pushed all the way up, the i.d. curl™ sequence will activate and the sequence will begin.

Taking a section of hair, hold it against the device until it latches on. There’s no need to count or time, as the i.d. curl™ sequence does it automatically. As the timer begins, it will start wrapping and styling, then it will activate a cold shot to set your curl. The device will then go into Ultra Low Flow mode where the curl is released, ready for your next curl.
